Very hard to photograph in that perspective. They do love the nectar of exotic garden plants and if you're lucky they will slow down so you can catch a snap.
Butterflies are very active at the moment and today the first day of winter it is sticky-hot and drizzly. The animals are confused and we should be worried.
Best wishes,
YvonneAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03435786677249051993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7994412437987094505.post-3274733628562992332014-05-30T18:02:42.109-07:002014-05-30T18:02:42.109-07:00Great to read your updates Yvonne, as always.

I assumed they'd be a tricky rainforest species ala birdwings, but they seem to fly around gardens?

You really have a fantastic amount of knowledge and love that you can identify everything - birds, trees, butterflies and more - down to species level. I try do the same but there's just some things like parasitic wasps where it's impossible, and I just have to label the family that they belong to.Christian Perrinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06835955663432829705noreply@blogger.com
